Animal feed analysis section

Salamon & Seaber carries out a wide range of analyses when testing the commodities used in the manufacture of compound animal feeding stuffs. These principally include Soya Bean Meal, Tapioca, Palm Kernel Extraction, Sunflower Seed Extraction, Fish Meal, Groundnut Extraction, Rapeseed Extraction and Maize Gluten Feed.

The major analytical methods used in the analysis of these commodities are included in our UKAS scope, further details of which are shown in the "UKAS accredited section".

We are able to determine the presence of the following undesirable substances as listed in The Feeding Stuffs (England) Regulations 2005, (S.I. 2005 No. 3281).

• Fluorine (F)
• Nitrites

Chapter B

• Aflatoxin B₁
• Caster seed residues
• Free Gossypol
• Hydrocyanic Acid (HCN)
• Weed seed and undesirable plant seed residues
• Theobromine
• Volatile mustard oil
