Pet Food Analysis

We have several clients in the pet food trade that have testing requirements for products such as Caged Bird Feed, Dog Food, Cat Food, Fish Food, Hamster, Rabbit, Rat, Exotic Pet Foods and Fish (Pond, Tropical, and Marine).

Some of the particular analytical requirements are:

  1. Determination of Mycotoxins in nuts / seeds such as Aflatoxin, Ochratoxin, & Zearalenone.
  2. Determination of the nutritional quality of their manufactured products such as Meat Based Foods, Biscuits, Seed Mixtures, etc to provide energy values.
  3. Determination of mineral and vitamin content. Flaked Fish Food
  4. Presence of mould, infestation, extraneous matter, etc.
  5. Hydroxyproline in meat products
