Bird Food & Wildlife Feed Analysis

We have several clients in the bird food trade that have testing requirements for products such as Straight Foods (Sunflower Seeds, Peanut Kernels, Hemp, Niger Seeds, Raisins, etc), Bird Seed Mixes, Fat & Suet Foods (Suet Blocks, Pellets, Cakes, etc), and Live Foods (Mealworms, Wax Worms, and other insects).

We also provide analysis of Wildlife Foods for animals such as Hedgehogs, Squirrels, Chipmunks, Badgers, Water Fowl, Fish, Foxes, etc.

Some of the particular analytical requirements are:

Determination of Mycotoxins in nuts / seeds such as Aflatoxin, Ochratoxin, & Zearalenone.
Determination of the nutritional quality of their manufactured products such as "Fat Balls", "Fruit Discs", Seed Mixtures, etc to provide energy values.
Determination of the breakdown of contents in mixed seeds for quality control purposes.
Presence of mould, infestation, extraneous matter, etc.
